Our Sleep-Away Camps

Incarnation Camp

Located in coastal Connecticut, on over 700 wooded acres surrounding a mile-long private lake, Incarnation Camp is the country’s oldest co-ed sleep-away camp. Since 1886, we have provided a fun-filled, traditional camp with hands-on learning and group living in the great outdoors.

Incarnation Camp provides programs designed to engage campers in nurturing their physical and emotional growth. Through recreation, sports, nature and arts programs we create an atmosphere where campers can explore their interests while building character and friendships. Incarnation Campers and staff are a diverse group of people coming from all over the U.S.— and all around the world.

Incarnation Campers range in age from 7-15 and stay at camp for 2, 4, 6, or 8 week sessions.

Pioneer Village (Ages 14-15)

Teenagers in Incarnation Camp’s Pioneer Village have the unique opportunity to participate in a 5 day adventure treks off-site. Campers work in teams as they plan and prepare for hiking trips on the Appalachian Trail, bike trips throughout New England or canoe trips on the Connecticut River. These treks challenge teens to test their limits and develop new skills. Many teens feel that these treks are the cornerstones of their camp friendships.

PV Campers prepare and cook both breakfast and dinner over campfires each and every day. They gather the wood, start and maintain the fire and cook the meals with ingredients and recipes provided by our PV Director – ask any Pioneer Village alum and they’ll tell you that “cooksite” is one of their fondest memories.
