Incarnation Center plays host to a great variety of groups from many different walks of life.  From multi denominational church retreats to large national organizations such as the National MS society, Incarnation offers the same brand of hospitality, (personal service) and, above all, individual attention that has brought over 150 different groups to this beautiful part of rural Connecticut.  Please take the time to read some of the great testimonials below that account for why we have had several groups coming back for over 25 years.

"The Centering Pregnancy and Parenting Association is a non-profit involved in changing the delivery of prenatal care from a usual one-to-one visit to group visits. We have a group of faculty, mostly nurse-midwives, who lead training workshops nationally and internationally and once a year for the last seven years we have gathered at Incarnation Center for a retreat. It is a time for us to relax, share, and work and the Center has become almost "sacred space" for us. We feel as if Brooks Cottage is "home" and settle in quickly, building a fire, reorganizing the furniture into a large circle, and eating well from the great food prepared for us. Since our faculty come from all over the United States we have talked about finding a more central location that would be easier to access but so far everyone feels that it is worth the effort to get to Incarnation Center. And the staff treat us as if we are long-lost friends! Thanks to all of you for maintaining such a wonderful retreat spot." ...Sharon Rising

"Our recent experience renting Tumble Inn was a wonderful one. Our family was looking to experience a more traditional thanksgiving and the good people at Incarnation Center helped us to do just that. The natural beauty of the Ivoryton landscape coupled with the helpful and good natured staff helped to make our experience a memorable one.  At a time when life seems to be all too hectic, our day at the Incarnation Center left us rejuvenated and relaxed. My compliments to Simon and staff, for providing us with the foundation for a wonderfully unique experience."  ...Sean P.

"We are a group that is focused on recovery from our eating disorders through the 12 steps. Our menu and preparation are crucial to the success of our retreat weekends. Incarnation center could not have been more accommodating, not only did they welcome us but they went above and beyond to understand and solve our specific and sometimes difficult menu challenges. As a result we had one of the most successful retreats ever, the location was inspirational, the staff was supportive and unobtrusive and the meals were delicious, plentiful and met all our groups requirements. We have booked the next two years at the Incarnation center and cannot imagine going anywhere else! thank you Incarnation Center for making our retreat such a success!" ...Raina

"We began our choir camp at Incarnation Center as an experiment. Now, almost three years later, it has become a tradition. Incarnation has so much to offer, from the ropes course to the lake to the beautiful woods, even a shuffleboard court! In addition the staff at Incarnation are warm, friendly, and dedicated. It is a pleasure to speak, plan, and work with them. They will bend over backwards - literally, I imagine – to ensure that everyone always has everything they need. Each year, they have moved, disassembled, and reassembled dozens of beds to ensure that there is enough room for all of our choristers. This is only one of many examples of the ways in which Incarnation has done everything possible to support us while we are there. I can’t even complain about the food – not > only is the food at the Lodge (where we stay each year) delicious; the cooks are welcoming and friendly as well. I look forward to our return to Incarnation this summer and for many summers to come!" ...Jenn

"My wife Alice and I have been traveling to Incarnation Center for over a dozen years to help teach the Gilbert & Sullivan elderhostels, and our yearly trip to Connecticut from Virginia has become an important part of our yearly schedule. Incarnation Center is truly a wonderful place where we've met so many nice people through the Elderhostel program. But in addition to friendships formed with our "students," we've also come to love and admire with the staff, and we look forward to our yearly reunion with the special people who make Incarnation Center the very special place it is. Our perception is that under the dynamic leadership of The Rev. Peter Larom, Incarnation Center is expanding programs, upgrading facilities, and adding staff, thus insuring the ongoing accomplishment of its mission of being a special place for growth and renewal for people of all ages."...Ralph MacPhail, Jr.
